Happy Monday! For part of our homestead plans, I’m hoping we can eventually become self sufficient. Keeping that I’m mind, why wouldn’t we utilize what is already growing on our land? On our walk today, we saw that some of the wild blackberries were starting to become ripe. I have fond memories of picking them as a child and then often turning them into cobbler. Today though we ended up with berry stained little hands and faces. Hoping maybe we can make a dessert this weekend or one day next weekend with our kids. Anyone have a recipe for a gluten free, vegan cobbler? If I make one, I’ll try to remember to share.
Have you ever foraged? I’d love to hear your experiences and memories.
Have a blessed afternoon!
